Oh Yeah, I Wear The Baby!

Steph is having a little baby wearing fun today. She's always getting questions about how you wear the baby, what's your favorite carrier, how long (in age) can you wear your baby, etc. So, she's asking everyone to show off what they own and what their fave is.

Here are most of mine:


I have 4 Nest slings: Heart Nouvea, Diamond Eye, Bloom, and Twinkle(I used Twinkle the most with theBeast). Those 4 are ring slings, they're very compfy and great for carrying newborn up to about 35 pounds. There's several ways to carry your wee one in a ring sling.

I also have a Moby wrap and a Moby D, those are the blue one, and the red/black one in the little pouch. These are very long pieces of material that you wrap around your body and then place your baby in. I loved these when Popeye was a newborn, they kept him very close to me. I don't use these wraps too often anymore.

The last one in the picture is an adjustable pouch from Rockin Baby Slings. I think these are great for quick trips in and out of stores when you don't want to mess with adjusting and wrapping.

The first one in the picture is my Baby Hawk. This one is my love. It's filthy and really could use a good washing but I use it so much!! LOVE it. I can wear my fatty 20 pound 8 month old for hours before I start getting sore. This one is too big for a newborn, I think I started wearing him in it when he was about 6 months old. You can wear them on your back with this carrier and with the Moby...but Popeye has never liked being on my back:(

2 that aren't pictured: I loaned out my Mei tai from Bloggy Mama to a friend, and I forgot my Reversible flip flop Babe-A-Gogo pouch at church.

And this is where I keep them all, in a wooden crate in the living room where they're easily accessible. Popeye takes his best naps while being worn.
